I’ve lived in the Pacific Northwest all of my life and can’t imagine living anywhere else. I grew up in Portland, Oregon and went to college in Ashland and Monmouth, Oregon. I lived in Issaquah for seven years and then moved to Moses Lake, where I’ve been for the last 19 years.
After graduating from high school in Portland, I attended Southern Oregon for one year and then transferred to Western Oregon where I received my B.A. in Communications. While attending college, I worked for my family’s Old Fashion Soda Fountain that was located on the corner of First and Main in Independence, Oregon. Working there and going to school, I realized I loved living in a small community and how much fun it is to get involved. Since living in Moses Lake, I’ve worked at Big Bend Community College, taught classes at Samaritan Hospital, and work for a state program helping vulnerable adults and children find qualified care providers. I love helping people.
I met my husband while working in my family’s store. He was coaching and working on his Masters while I was finishing up my B.A. We have a 22-year-old son who’s currently a WSU Cougar and a 19-year-old daughter who’s attending Oregon State University. We love cooking, gardening, traveling, and just hanging out on our patio enjoying the sunsets with friends.
